Features

Everything Apply Maxxing does

One desktop app for the whole job search: find the role, judge the fit, write the documents, fill the form, and track what happens next. Every screenshot below is the real app.

Step one

Find jobs worth your time

Bring jobs in from anywhere, then let the app tell you which ones you should actually apply to.

01

Save any job from any board

Paste a URL and the app scrapes the page, parses it with AI, and files it with a fit verdict already attached. The Chrome extension does the same in one click from the board you are already browsing.

  • Live parse stages: scraping, extracting fields, scoring fit, tailoring
  • Filter by fit, salary, work style, level, date posted and work authorization
  • Bulk tools: generate missing documents, scan for dead links, retry failures
The My Jobs screen showing a paste-a-URL bar, usage counters, filter pills and a list of saved jobs with fit and preference badges
My Jobs: import, filter, and select what to apply to
02

Know the fit before you apply

Every job is read against your whole profile and scored out of 100, with a written reason you can argue with. A second read tells you whether the role is on your path at all, so a title change never gets mistaken for a career change.

  • Match, overqualified or underqualified, plus a 0 to 100 score
  • Career path read: on path, adjacent, or a real pivot
  • Preference matching counts how many of your stated must-haves the job meets

AI fit scoring runs on paid plans. Free plans get a rule based verdict.

03

Discover jobs you have not seen

A shared pool of already parsed postings, ranked against your preferences. Import one and it lands in your list fully parsed, with no scrape and no waiting.

  • Recommended for you, based on the role, location and work style you set
  • Filter by visa sponsorship, work style, contract type and date posted
  • Read the full posting in a side drawer before you commit

Discover is a paid plan feature.

Step two

Documents written for the job in front of you

Your history goes in once. Every resume and cover letter after that is assembled from it, never invented.

04

Build your profile once

Thirteen sections of real professional history, from work experience to patents and references. This is the only place facts about you come from.

  • Import from a LinkedIn export, a LinkedIn URL, Indeed, or an existing resume file
  • App Q&A remembers answers to repeat application questions and refills them
  • Duplicate detection scans every section, with an AI semantic check when a key is set

Profile: the single source of truth the AI draws from
05

A resume rebuilt for every posting

You design the slots once. For each job the AI scores your experiences and projects against that posting, rewrites the bullets that matter, and drops the ones that do not.

  • Control fonts, margins, accent color, and which fields appear in the header
  • Pin the experiences that must always appear, cap the rest
  • Upload a static PDF instead, or bring your own HTML template

Resume tailoring is a paid plan feature.

06

Cover letters that use your actual stories

Save the stories from your career once. For each job the AI picks the most relevant one and writes around it, in the style you chose.

  • Three modes: write it yourself, let the AI write it, or skip it entirely
  • Add freeform instructions for tone or which story to lean on
  • Export a PDF, or copy just the sections you need into a plain text field

Cover letter generation is a paid plan feature.

Step three

The form fills itself. You press submit.

A real browser opens where you can watch every field. It handles the tedious part and stops at anything it is unsure about.

07

Seven stages, and the last click is always yours

Apply Maxxing never submits an application for you. That is not a setting you can turn off, it is enforced in the code and covered by a test. It fills, uploads and navigates multi page forms, then hands the form back to you.

  • Works on any application form, with dedicated field maps for 47 ATS platforms
  • Pause, take over a field, or cancel the session at any point
  • New questions get saved to your library and filled automatically next time
  • Recovery paths for login walls, missing forms and failed uploads

Step four

Track what happens, and get ready for the call

Every application in one table, the patterns behind them, and a way to practice before the interview.

08

One table for every application

Where each application stands, what you asked for, what they offered, and the exact documents you sent them.

  • Saved, applied, interview, offer, rejected and accepted
  • Response rate calculated from interviews against applications
  • Search and sort by role, company, salary or fit

Tracker: 41 applications, 29 percent response rate
09

See which parts are actually working

The funnel shows where applications die. The breakdowns show whether tailoring is earning its keep, and which keywords you keep missing.

  • Resume performance compares original against tailored, by responses
  • Skill gaps pulls keywords from jobs you applied to that are missing from your profile
  • Apply before they close flags postings that are likely to expire soon

Practice before the interview

A question bank seeded for your role family, a story bank in STAR format, and a drill that makes you answer out loud and rate yourself honestly.

  • Questions generated from the specific job description, on top of the seeded bank
  • Drill this job, one competency, a random mix, or only your weak spots
  • Schedule rounds, keep prep notes, and log what they actually asked afterwards

Safety and trust

Built so you stay in control

Three rules the app is built around, and does not let you switch off.

You always click submit

The autofiller fills, uploads and moves between pages. It stops at the submit button every single time and waits for you. This is enforced in code and pinned by a test, not left to a preference.

The AI never invents your experience

It scores, selects and rewrites what is already in your profile. It cannot add a job, a skill or a credential you did not enter. If a field is ambiguous, the run stops and asks you rather than guessing.

Your job data stays on your machine

Your profile, jobs, applications and generated documents live in a local database on your computer, and job board passwords never leave it. You sign in to an account for licensing, and AI requests go to whichever provider you pick. Export everything as a backup ZIP whenever you want.

They screen with algorithms. You apply with one.

That's it. No catch.

Free to track. Paid plans from $6.99/mo, or $167.99 once. Runs on your machine.
