A Complete Look at Apply Maxxing's Features

Overview

Six features. One idea.

Every feature in Apply Maxxing was built around a single principle: every application should be intentional. Not mass-sprayed, not generic, not fabricated — deliberate, tailored, and submitted by you. Here is how each piece works.

Feature 01

Complete Profile System

Everything starts with your profile. You enter your work experience, education, certifications, skills by category, and projects with outcomes. This is your professional history in full — and it is the only thing the AI is ever allowed to draw from.

The profile is the source of truth. When the AI tailors a resume, it selects from and rewrites what is in your profile. It does not invent. It does not fill gaps. It surfaces your strongest relevant experience for each specific role.

You can export your entire profile as JSON at any time. Your data is yours, always in a format you control.

Feature 02

AI Resume Tailoring

Paste in a job description. Apply Maxxing reads it, extracts what the role actually requires, and scores your profile against those requirements on a 0–100 scale using weighted criteria: keyword match, experience relevance, ATS optimization, and more. The score is transparent — you can see exactly what is driving it.

From there, it selects the experience most relevant to the role and rewrites your bullet points to match. Generic lines like “responsible for software development tasks” become specific, quantified achievements like “Led migration of monolith to microservices, reducing deploy time by 60%.” The facts are yours. The framing is optimized.

Every resume output is unique to the job. You never send the same document twice.

Feature 03

Browser Automation

Once you have a tailored resume, Apply Maxxing opens a real, visible browser and fills in the application form for you. Not a headless script running in the background — a browser you can watch, pause, and take over at any point.

Every field gets a confidence flag. Green means the AI filled it with high confidence from your profile. Yellow means it filled it but wants you to review before continuing. Red means the field requires your direct input — things like salary expectations, work authorization status, or a custom cover letter.

You handle the flagged fields, review the rest, and click submit yourself. Apply Maxxing never submits without you.

Browser automation works on the platforms where most jobs actually live: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, LinkedIn Easy Apply, and iCIMS.

Feature 04

Application Tracker

Every application you run through Apply Maxxing is logged automatically. The tracker shows you exactly where each one stands: Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer, or Rejected.

More than a status board — you can pull up the exact resume and cover letter that was sent to any company, any time. If you get to an interview, you know precisely what you said about yourself on that application. No guessing, no inconsistency.

The tracker also gives you a clear view of your overall pipeline, so you know when to push forward and when to pull back.

Feature 05

Local-First Privacy

Everything Apply Maxxing stores lives in a SQLite database on your own machine. Your profile, your resumes, your application history — none of it touches a server. There is no account, no cloud sync, no telemetry.

The AI features require an API key. That key is stored in your operating system's secure keychain — never in a config file, never in plain text, never transmitted to Apply Maxxing's servers. Bring your own key (BYOK), pay only for what you use, and stay in complete control.

Local-first means the application works entirely offline for everything except the AI calls, which go directly from your machine to the API provider of your choice. No middleman.

Feature 06

Quality Over Quantity

Mass-apply tools send hundreds of identical resumes to hundreds of jobs. Recruiters have seen this pattern. Platform abuse detection has caught up with it. Accounts get flagged. Applications get discarded without review.

Apply Maxxing takes the opposite approach. It is designed for 5 to 15 tailored applications per day — the range that research shows produces interview rates without triggering abuse detection or sacrificing quality.

Every application is rate-limited to human pace, uses a unique tailored resume, and is submitted by you. It behaves exactly like a human applicant, because you are one. The automation assists — it does not replace your judgment.
